ADAS Re‑Calibration
After a windshield replacement, your vehicle's safety cameras and sensors must be recalibrated to function correctly.
Why ADAS Calibration Is Required After Windshield Replacement
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) rely on cameras and radar sensors mounted to or near the windshield to power features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring. When a windshield is replaced, even a millimeter shift in camera angle can cause these systems to malfunction — leading to false alerts, failure to detect hazards, or dangerous incorrect interventions. Calibration restores the precise alignment required for these systems to perform as designed.
Calibration Methods We Use
Vehicle & System Scan
We connect to your vehicle's OBD-II port with professional scan tools to identify which ADAS systems are present and read any existing fault codes before calibration begins.
Static Calibration (In-Shop)
Using manufacturer-specified target boards placed at precise distances from the vehicle, we align the forward-facing camera to factory specifications. This method is required by most vehicle manufacturers.
Dynamic Calibration (On-Road)
Some vehicles require a calibration drive at highway speeds while the scan tool monitors camera alignment against lane markings. We perform this on appropriate roads to complete the calibration cycle.
Verification & Report
After calibration, we perform a final scan to confirm all ADAS systems show no fault codes and are operating within specification. We provide you with a calibration report.
